Key Note: Challenges of a mid-size Bank through the use of AI

Volker Kreissl
Volker Kreißl is an experienced banking executive with over 15 years of expertise in the cooperative financial sector. He began his career with vocational training as a bank clerk at Raiffeisenbank Ochsenfurt eG.
He studied Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS) and graduated as Diplom-Betriebswirt (FH), specializing in consulting, banking & finance, and investment. During his studies, he spent a semester abroad in Moscow, focusing on corporate governance as well as Russian language and culture.
He subsequently gained extensive professional experience across various banking functions, including customer advisory, financial services taxation, controlling, and accounting. In 2016, he completed advanced training as a certified Bankbetriebswirt at the Academy of German Cooperative Banks (Dipl.-Bankbetriebswirt;ADG) in Montabaur.
Also in 2016, he was appointed Head of Corporate Clients at Raiffeisenbank Mainschleife-Steigerwald eG in Volkach, where he additionally assumed responsibility for marketing, online banking, and insurance across the bank. In 2017, he was granted Prokura (power of attorney), underlining his expanding leadership role.
Since August 2019, Volker Kreißl has served as a full-time member of the Executive Board and currently acts as Deputy Chairman, responsible for Production and Controlling.
In addition to his executive responsibilities, he serves as Deputy District President for the Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken in Lower Franconia, representing the interests of cooperative banks at the regional level.
With his practical experience, strategic leadership perspective, and strong regional engagement, Volker Kreißl provides clear and practice-oriented insights into the key challenges and future developments of regional banking—particularly in the areas of corporate finance, controlling, risk management, and digital transformation.

Jens Gräf
Jens Gräf studied Business & Engineering at the Technical University in Darmstadt (Germany). For more than 25 years, he has been working in the renowned management consultancy Horváth, headquartered in Stuttgart (Germany) with offices worldwide. In his current position as Associate Partner in the Competence Center CFO Strategy & Performance Management, he is responsible for the business segment Reporting & Analytics. Jens Gräf has authored numerous books and articles as well as edited several books on topics like Performance Management, Business Intelligence and Management Reporting. He is a guest lecturer at several universities in Germany and since 2006, he organizes the yearly Reporting & Analytics conference.
