Prof. Dr. Rainer Wehner
Co-Chairman of the Executive Board
Prof. Dr. Rainer Wehner is a professor for General Business and Accounting at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS). He is the Director of International Relations at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and responsible for the faculty’s double degree programmes. He regularly serves as a guest lecturer at several universities and teaches courses in ‘strategic management’, ‘diversity management’, ‘accounting’ ‘general business’ and ‘intercultural management’.

Prof. Dr. Emin Akcaoglu
Co-Chairman of the Executive Board
Prof. Dr. Emin Akcaoglu is a professor at Manisa Celal Bayar University, Turkey. He recently was a guest professor at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wuerzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) in Germany. Earlier, he served at various other universities and industry. Before becoming a full-time academic, he was Underwriting Manager at Turk Eximbank, the Turkish official export credit agency. He teaches courses such as ‘international trade and project finance’, ‘international banking’, ‘multinational corporations and foreign direct investment’, 'international business', and ‘international business strategy’.

Prof. Dr. Björn Baltzer

Prof. Dr. Björn Baltzer is a professor for Accounting and Management Control at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS). He is the Director of the Master Program “MBA International Business”, and a guest lecturer at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. He teaches and conducts research in the fields of strategic control, financial reporting, value-based management and cost accounting.

Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Harald J. Bolsinger
Member of the Executive Board
Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Harald J. Bolsinger (Dipl.-Kfm., Bac. oec.), born in 1973, deals with sustainable corporate management and values management as well as business ethics issues. The ethicist from Würzburg gained extensive practical experience in corporate customer care and sales in the cooperative banking sector, as an economic promoter for the city of Nuremberg and in independent management consultancy. He is active in numerous initiatives to promote impact entrepreneurship, corporate responsibility as well as christian values in business and academic life. Bolsinger has taught at various universities, and earlier served as Dean of the Faculty for Economics and Business Administration at the THWS Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt.

Markus Engert

Markus Engert is a scientific assistant of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at THWS. Besides international research topics he is also involved in student support and funding opportunities for the activities of the faculty.

Kurt Treumann
Member of the Executive Board
Mr. Kurt Treumann is Director International Affairs of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) in Würzburg-Schweinfurt, Gemany. He was born in Konstanz, Germany in 1967. Mr. Treumann started his career in private German enterprises. Later he moved to the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), for which he has been working for the last twenty-seven years. He studied economics at Verwaltungs und Wirtschaftsakademie Wuerzburg (VWA) and competed his studies as Betriebswirt (VWA) in 1999. Kurt Treumann started to work for the IHK as a consultant for International Affairs. In 2012 he became Referent, and he has been the Director for International Affairs / Bereichsleiter International since 2014. Mr. Kurt Treumann is responsible for the promotion of internationalization of Mainfranconian companies through the provision of various types of services such as export- and import consultancies, market development projects, events and meetings, international business travels, certification, and confirmation of special documents relating to foreign businesses. Together with Bayern International, a sister organisation of Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wirtschaft, Landesentwicklung und Energie, he has developed, organized and attended a number of official participations at international trade fairs for SMEs all over the world.
His employer, The IHK Wuerzburg-Schweinfurt, operates within the service network of 8 IHKs all over Germany, and 140 offices of the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK) in 92 countries. It has got 69 thousand members. The export-quote of Mainfranconia is over 43 percent.
Dominik Winkler
Member of the Executive Board
Dominik Winkler is a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. While he supports the internationalisation of the faculty, he is also involved in different projects to improve and develop the study situation at THWS.
