About WIBF

The Würzburg International Business Forum (WIBF) was co-founded by Prof. Dr. Rainer Wehner and Prof. Dr. Emin Akcaoglu at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) in 2018 to provide a discussion forum in international business both for academics as well as for practitioners.
The WIBF’s first International Business Conference (IBC) was held on 24-25 May 2018, and the second was on 23-24 May 2019 in Würzburg, Germany. It is later aimed that though the conferences will be organized on an annual basis, Würzburg will be the biennial conference location, while different locations in other parts of the world will be hosting the conference in other years.
The three major characteristics of WIBF are being international, applied and up-to-date. In this line the conference offers an excellent opportunity to meet thought leaders and professionals from around the world to exchange state-of-the-art business research and insightful ideas on a variety of international business topics such as operations of multinational corporations, foreign direct investment, and small and medium-sized enterprises in international business.
