Prof. Dr. Rainer Wehner
Head of Organisation Committee
Dr. Rainer Wehner is a Professor for General Business and Accounting at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS). He is the Director of International Relations at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and responsible for the faculty’s double degree programmes. He regularly serves as a guest lecturer at several universities and teaches courses in ‘strategic management’, ‘diversity management’, ‘accounting’ ‘general business’ and ‘intercultural management’.

Prof. Dr. Emin Akcaoglu
Prof. Dr. Emin Akcaoglu is a professor at Manisa Celal Bayar University, Turkey. He recently was a guest professor at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wuerzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) in Germany. Earlier, he served at various other universities and industry. Before becoming a full-time academic, he was Underwriting Manager at Turk Eximbank, the Turkish official export credit agency. He teaches courses such as ‘international trade and project finance’, ‘international banking’, ‘multinational corporations and foreign direct investment’, 'international business', and ‘international business strategy’.

Prof. Dr. Turgut Ozkan
Dr. Turgut Özkan is Rector of Dogus University in Istanbul, Turkey. He earlier was the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Beykent University in Istanbul. He obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Uludag University and PhD from Istanbul University. He worked at Haliç University before moving to Beykent. He has also had various administrative positions at universities in the capacity of head of department, deputy director and director of institute of social sciences as well as memberships of various national and international institutions, committees, and editorial boards. He earned his associate professorship in 2008 and professorship in 2013 in the fields of finance and financial economics. Before becoming a full-time academic, he had worked in industry for a long time as an auditor, internal audit manager, and chairman of the audit committee at private banks and insurance companies, and also financial and administrative affairs group manager and assistant general manager in a leasing company. He has widely published and been regularly consulted by the media on finance, business and related areas.
Prof. Dr. Mesut Kumru
Dr. Mesut Kumru is a professor at Doğuş University in İstanbul, Turkey. He is currently acting as the vice Rector and Quality Coordinator of the university. Formerly he worked in national and multinational corporations more than 25 years at top managing positions. He conducted a lot of research projects and training programs in the fields of quality management, production management, industrial engineering, management information systems, human resources, etc. He represented the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in the National Quality Advisory Board, and in the Quality and Standards Sub-Committee of State Planning Organization as well. He is also one of the two founders of the Turkish Quality Association (KALDER). He served as a representative of Turkey in various units of the European Organization for Quality (EOQ).
Prof. Dr. Nüket Saracel
Dr. Nüket Saracel received her doctorate degree in Business Administration from Anadolu University. In 1989, he was a visiting professor at the University of California, Berkeley, USA. She received the title of associate professor in 1992 and professor in 1997. SARACEL, who retired from Afyon Kocatepe University in 2003 and worked at Cyprus International University between 2003 and 2013, worked as vice rector, dean and department head at these universities. He started working at Doğuş University in 2013. SARACEL has books and articles written in the fields of Business and Social Policy. She currently works as the Dean of Doğuş University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Affairs and Head of the Department of Business Administration.
Prof. Dr. H. Şaduman Okumuş
Dr. H. Şaduman Okumuş has a BA in Business Administration, and a MA in Banking and Finance from Marmara University. She did her PhD in Banking and Finance at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. She teaches and supervises research in Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Financial Institutions and Markets, and Islamic Banking including participation banking. She is currently Vice Rector of Doğus University.
Prof. Dr. Halit Targan Ünal
Dr. Halit Targan Ünal received his PhD from Istanbul Technical University in 1986. He became associate professor in 1989 and professor in 1995. He has worked at Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul University, Istanbul Okan University, and Dogus University for more than 35 years and held various administrative positions including director of vocational school, director of social sciences institute, and head of department. Currently he is faculty member at the Department of Business Administration at Dogus University. He is also heading the Continuing Education Application and Research Centre at Dogus. Professor Ünal has authored many books and articles nationally and internationally on money and capital markets, microeconomics, banking, international finance, and real estate.

Dominik Winkler
Dominik Winkler is a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. While he supports the internationalisation of the faculty, he is also involved in different projects to improve and develop the study situation at THWS.

Markus Engert
Markus Engert is a scientific assistant of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at THWS. Besides international research topics he is also involved in student support and funding opportunities for the activities of the faculty.

Heiko Fischer
Heiko Fischer, M.Sc., is research assistant at Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) Mosbach at Campus Bad Mergentheim. As part of his cooperative doctorate with Ruhr-Universität Bochum, he is researching the digital transformation of sales. Prior to his doctoral research, he studied business administration and engineering at DHBW Mosbach and Chemnitz University of Technology. He has also worked for a drive system manufacturer and an IT startup. Mr. Fischer gives lectures on "design thinking", "scientific working", "digitalization of services", and "customer success management".
